Chateau with a compound of buildings and a large park.
At present, the chateau is dilapidated and is used for one-off events only. The surrounding buildings and land are rented. The chateau interiors are not open to the public, but you can view it from the outside and walk through the landscaped park.
Nowadays, a gardening company operates in the chateau park and organizes the renowned Čimelická exhibition of flowers every second year.
The chateau is connected with a legend about the ghost of the cruel owner of the castle, Mr. Josef Vratislav of Mitrovice, who appeared in the form of a howling black dog, sitting in front of the castle gate at midnight.
