Houska Castle may not be the most beautiful castle, but it is very popular with visitors. Not only does it have a varied cultural program throughout the summer, but the whole castle is surrounded by mysterious rumors that the castle is said to have been built over the gate to hell and entrance to another dimension. You can see for yourself if the rumors are true in an unusual night tour.
Another peculiarity is the rock that permeates the whole castle. You can see its parts both outside in the courtyard and inside, for example in the hunting hall.
We also recommend viewing "Hell", a unique hand-carved mechanical model of Hell inspired by Dante's Divine Comedy. It is 12 meters long, 2 meters high, so there is enough space for 11 pictures of hellish punishments for earthly sins.
