Moldavites are the only gemstones created by the meteorite impact on the Earth. These semi-precious stones were created 15 million years ago when a huge meteorite hit the territory of Bavaria. They cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
The interactive museum attracts not only adults but also children. You will find here a lot of attractions from astronomy and geology. You can also watch a short educational video in a small screening room. The exhibits are beautifully lit so you can see the interesting structure of these gems, part of the exhibition is also located underground. You can also buy moldavite jewelery at the museum.
