Pleasant walk to the pilgrimage site.
From Mníšek pod Brdy we will be guided by the nature trail to the Skalka hill with a pilgrimage site and a small church of St. Mary Magdalene. The trail is lined with 14 chapels with the Stations of the Cross dating from 1672. In the Baroque church, there are some traces of the original interior with a cave imitation and a unique ceiling painting of St. Mary Magdalene by Peter Brandl.
From Skalka hill there is a nice view of Mníšek pod Brdy and the surrounding countryside. In the Middle Ages, the Golden Path led here and today it is a popular tourist destination. Social and cultural events take place in the area.
