Christmas in Prague

Christmas market, Krampus parade and ice skating rink.

Already a month before Christmas, Prague is full of Christmas atmosphere and you will not be bored here.

This year, the Christmas tree lighted up on November 30 at the Old Town Square, which definitively started the Christmas season and with it, the famous Prague markets. You will be able to walk through the stalls until January 6.

Markets can also be found on Wenceslas Square, Miru Square, or Republic Square. You can enjoy traditional crafts, gastronomic specialties and live performances.

You can see a real Krampus devils at the Prague Exhibition Center on Saturday, 7 December, and there will be lots of them. Just watch out for the kids not to be taken away.

The ice rink on Ovocný trh opens on 5 December. The skating rink with dimensions of 14x30 meters will be available until 31 January.

The ice rink will be open every day from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.

It doesn't matter if you don't have skates. You can rent them on site. By borrowing skates you will be make happy not only yourself, but also other people, because the proceeds from the rental will be donated to charity.

Fun for children

The Devil Theater will appeal especially to the youngest children.

The performance will take place on Sunday, December 8 at 4 pm at Hoffman's Court, Vinořské square 34, Prague - Vinoř. Free entry.
