Locking of the Vltava River 2019

Do not miss out on the traditional farewell to the Vltava River. For the eighth time already!

The event will take place on Saturday, October 19, between 9 am and 10 am in the U Trojice campsite in Český Krumlov.

There will be a kiosk with refreshments and good music in the campsite.

At around 11 am the Water Goblin couple locks the Vltava River until the next spring. After a small speech, the new canoeists will be baptized with the help of Vltava water and a paddle.

In the end, the Vltava will be come down from the campsite to Zlatá Koruna for one last time and there the event ends in one of the pubs. You will find out what pub it will be in the morning before leaving.
