Jaroslav Svecený
A native of Hradec Králové, he is one of the most important contemporary Czech violinists and a prominent figure in the Czech music scene. His solo career began already during his studies at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts, where he studied with prof. František Pospíšil and prof. Václav Snítil. He completed his education with master classes with world-famous virtuosos Nathan Milstein and Gidon Kremer.
Jaroslav Svěcený is a famous popularizer of the violin game, especially his television, radio and concert projects attract audiences of all age groups.
Jaroslav Svěcený's numerous concert tours and festival appearances covered the USA, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Brazil, Chile, all of Europe, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India , Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, etc.
Jaroslav Svěcený has so far recorded 44 CDs with works by world and Czech authors, for which he received many gold or platinum records. He was the first Czech violinist to record a compact disc for SONY CLASSICAL. In 1996, he was awarded the prestigious prize of the Masaryk Academy of Arts for his creative artistic activity, and since then he has received a number of other awards. Among the most significant J. Svěcený considers December 9, when he received the Golden Plaque of the President of the Republic from the hands of the head of state at the Prague Castle.
He is the co-founder of the now prestigious Czech festivals - South Bohemian New Castles, Klášterecké music springs at the charming castle in Klášterec nad Ohří, which also include summer international violin courses by J. At the opening concert of the Prague Autumn Festival 2006, J. Svěcený performed Bohuslav Martinů's 2nd Violin Concerto with the famous BBC Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum. Thanks to the direct transmission over the radio waves, other foreign concert offers came. He is also increasingly active in the field of composition - in February 2013, for example, he premiered his composition "Strings for NY" in New York, which he dedicated to the citizens of this city and for which he received a letter of thanks from the then mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg. Today, he presents his compositions all over the world and, of course, on domestic concert stages.

The exhibition was held in the Municipal House in Prague under the name Famous European Violins.
For more than twenty years he has cooperated or is cooperating with performers of various genres on joint projects, which he considers extremely important for the promotion of classical music among the younger generation - e.g. , Marta Kubišová, Jaroslav Svěcený and Petr Malásek: Meeting of Genres. In 2004, he founded the Vivaldianno project together with rock musician Michal Dvořák. Recently, his other multi-genre concert project In the Sign of Tango, which presents the music of Astor Piazzolla, Richard Galliano and Gorky Hermosa, or the ethnic gala concert "Jaroslav Svěcený a Cigánski diabli (SK)" or a completely new concert program with film music, is also very popular.
Charity work is also an integral part of his life. For more than 20 years, he has been the patron of Akce Cihla, which helps mentally disabled citizens, the patron of the Art of Accompanying NF and the Let's Give Children a Chance NF. He regularly collaborates with Konto Bariéry.
