Walking trip in the romantic canyon from Týn to Bechyně.
According to the route plan, the trip starts in Týn nad Vltavou, but you can also go the other way round, ie from Bechyně. It runs along the yellow trail all the way, so you can't get lost. But be prepared to wade through the stream several times.
Not long after the start, you will pass the revolving auditorium in Týn, go through the forest "Na Šancích", from where you can make a detour to the baroque sculpture Big Depot. The statues are here to commemorate the tragedy of 1753, when more than 80 people were killed in an artillery laboratory explosion.
When you reach the Jew's Ditch, you will be captivated by its scenic beauty as the stream sweeps between the rock massifs. The entire creek is 20.5 km long, but on this route you will walk through the last and most beautiful part, about 7 km long.
Not far from the confluence with the Lužnice river, you can make a short turn to the Hradec u Nuzic fortified settlement, which was probably settled in the Bronze Age, the Iron Age and the Middle Ages.
In Bechyně do not miss a walk through the castle park, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the river.
