Flat bike tour through the poet Karel Hynek Macha's country.
The whole route runs along the paved surface and starts in Mělník. After Liběchov, make sure you stop by the Devil's Heads - huge faces carved into the rock that will amaze you with their size.
From Želízy you will follow the cycle path through a beautiful canyon lined with massive rock formations. You will also pass by many caves, which you can explore (Klemperk, Rozbořenka, ...).
In addition to the caves, you will also encounter small sacral objects, such as the Calvary below Jestřebice (Christ's relief carved into the rock) or the Jestřebice Lids Rock Formation.
In Vojtěchov you will join a bigger path and walk in the direction of Kokořín. Along the way, you will pass under the rocky castle of Nedamy, where you can climb up the stairs, enjoy the view and explore a pair of excavated caves, which provided shelter to the Swedes during the Thirty Years War.
At Kokořín Castle you can go sightseeing or have a snack in local restaurants.
You can take a refreshing dip in the natural swimming pool in Harasov. On the way, you will go past other diverse sandstone rock formations - the rock relief of Christ, the rock apartment or the rock gate.
