Renaissance museum with rich history of Prachatice.
The Prachatice Museum can be found on Velke Square in the Zdarsky or Sitr House. The house attracts attention at first sight because it is one of the most beautiful ones in the town thanks to its Renaissance decor. The tour includes a few exhibitions dedicated to the history of Prachatice.
- The first exhibition presents the Golden Path, which will take you around the exhibited goods transported along the route from Passau to Prachatice.
- The second exhibition introduces the events of the town of Prachatice under the Emperor, until the end of the 20th century.
- The third, smaller exhibition is devoted to the life pilgrimage of St. Jan Nepomuk Neumann.
- Another exhibition on the theme of Renaissance - the Golden Age of the town deals with the town in the 16th century, when it flourished the most.
